It may be a play on words- \"hobby\" historically referred to a horse or pony, although by the 1800s it also meant a leisure activity. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis antique seal is very valuable to collectors and I had to look for years to find an original!  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach pendant is created by pressing the seal into wax and then casting that wax in metal.
