Labradorite aurora necklace

This pendant features a large labradorite cabochon, set in tiny detailed points of silver. Labradorite is a gem that displays a flash of color across the surface when you tilt it, and this one is blue with a touch of green. Since the moving colors are so reminiscent of the Northern Lights, there is a pattern of stars on the back of the pendant.

This necklace is made entirely of sterling silver. Sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver with 7.5% copper, which is added to make the metal more durable. There is no outer plating- the metal can be polished over and over for a lifetime.
