This ring features a rare stone called dumortierite quartz, which is clear quartz with tiny needles of blue dumortierite inside. 

From a distance it will look like a dark blue stone, but from up close you can see the complexity inside. This specimen is set with an open backing, so you can also see a peek of your finger through the blue fibers. On either side of the stone is a forget-me-not and two leaves, on a sturdy double ring band.

Stone size: 9x11mm

Materials

This ring is made entirely of sterling silver. Sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver with 7.5% copper, which is added to make the metal more durable. There is no outer plating- the metal can be polished over and over for a lifetime.
