Cat's eye necklace - $130
This pendant features a square purple cat's eye, framed by ornaments in a cross-shaped arrangement.
Cat's eye shows a silky band of color that travels across the surface when you tilt it. This stone is synthetic- although cat's eye chalcedony exists in nature, it cannot be found in this deep purple color. The chatoyancy effect is created by parallel glassy fibers that reflect light together as a single band.
The pendant and chain both have a cool grey patina.

Belay knot ring - $75
This ring features two strands of silver tied in a figure 8 knot. To climbers this is known as a belay knot, a sign that you're held securely by your rope.

Snowdrop book locket - $280
Snowdrops are an old symbol of consolation, due to their history of being planted in graveyards. They are often the first flower to bloom in the spring, hardy enough to bloom under a blanket of snow.
This pendant features a tiny snowdrop flower on the cover of a book, which opens to reveal a little rectangular compartment. The inside is big enough to fit a folded piece of paper, a pressed flower, or another small token.

Succulent earrings - $90
These earrings were made by casting real succulents in sterling silver. Each earring is totally unique, but I have paired them together with their best match in size and shape.
They have a cool grey patina that brings out the shadows and the organic texture.

"Ever Gay" squirrel seal necklace - $95
This pendant was made with a wax seal from the mid 1800s.
The carving shows a depiction of a squirrel paired with the text "ever gay." Squirrels were seen as a practical, fun, and joyful creature, and this was a popular motif on wax seals in Victorian England.
The pendant was made by pressing the seal into melted wax, then casting the wax in sterling silver. Each pendant was stamped individually with the seal, so each one is a little different from the next.
It comes on a dainty beaded chain. Both the chain and the pendant are oxidized and polished to bring out the details.
Antique seals are much smaller than modern day wax seals! Please view all the pictures and note the measurements to see the true scale of this pendant.

Deadly nightshade earrings - $70
Belladonna, also known as deadly nightshade, is a very poisonous plant with smooth black berries.
Centuries ago, belladonna was believed to be an ingredient in a witch's "flying ointment," a mixture of herbs that a witch would use to fly. Some took this as a metaphorical flight, due to the hallucinogenic nature of the herbs, and some believed that it enabled literal flight.
These tiny belladonna flowers hold a black freshwater pearl in the center.

Sunflower amber necklace - $87
In the Victorian Language of Flowers, sunflowers were a symbol of adoration. Young sunflowers turn their buds to face the sun as it travels across the sky, like an act of devotion.
This pendant features a hand-carved sunflower with a Baltic amber cabochon in the center.
The pendant hangs on a dainty oxidized rope chain.

Dendritic opal ring - $78
Dendritic opal is formed when groundwater picks up silica, flows into underground cracks, and then hardens into solid stone. The groundwater also carries tiny black particles of iron or manganese, and the resulting effect looks like tiny branches or bolts of lightning.
Each of these rings holds a totally unique stone with its own pattern of dendrites over a milky white background. The surface is faceted and sparkly.
The stone is set on a double half-round band.
