Curio locket

This locket is designed to hold a small curiosity like a dried flower. There is a glass cabochon in the front that slightly magnifies what's inside. 

The round box of the pendant has an elegant floral design around the outside. The locket slides open with a hinge pin at the top and clasps shut at the bottom. As with all locket clasps, try not to play with it too much to avoid wearing it down over time. 

I will send you a set of dried flowers to put inside! The pendant is not watertight, but as long as you keep them dry then dried flowers do not rot or wither over time. 

Try not to store the locket on its back in direct sunlight. The glass dome isn't focused enough to singe what's inside (like a magnifying glass would), but it might accelerate fading colors on your flowers.

Materials

This necklace is made entirely of sterling silver. Sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver with 7.5% copper, which is added to make the metal more durable. There is no outer plating- the metal can be polished over and over for a lifetime.
