This pendant was made from a real sprig of boxwood, an evergreen shrub (and the origin of our English word "box").
In England, there was once a tradition of removing Christmas decorations in February and replacing the mistletoe and holly with boughs of boxwood, which would stay there until Easter. It symbolizes a second advent period: the wait for Spring.
Pendant size: 24x40mm
Chain length: 24 inches
Materials
This necklace is made entirely of sterling silver. Sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver with 7.5% copper, which is added to make the metal more durable. There is no outer plating- the metal can be polished over and over for a lifetime.
