Forget-me-not seal

This pendant was made with a Victorian wax seal, and it features the words 
"forget me not" with an image of the flower. The seal pendant is accompanied by a smaller tanzanite charm in the exact color of a forget-me-not. 

Each necklace is made individually by stamping the seal into wax and then casting the wax in sterling silver. So every one is a little different and has its own organic shape. 

Keep in mind that antique wax seals were usually much smaller than modern seals! Check the dimensions and the pictures carefully.

Materials

This necklace is made entirely of sterling silver. Sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver with 7.5% copper, which is added to make the metal more durable. There is no outer plating- the metal can be polished over and over for a lifetime.
