Rutilated quartz juniper necklace

This pendant features a rose cut piece of quartz with red mineral filaments inside. The quartz is in an open setting, so you can see through it. Underneath the stone is a casting of a real sprig of juniper.

 Materials

This necklace is made entirely of sterling silver. Sterling silver is an alloy of 92.5% silver with 7.5% copper, which is added to make the metal more durable. There is no outer plating- the metal can be polished over and over for a lifetime.
